Selecting a Paint Scheme
Basic Mode Pro Paint Mixer

Basic Mode
Chop Shop 2.0 has a completely new and advanced system for painting the bike models.

Solid Colors
The body consists of the gas tank and both fenders. Clicking on the color pallette will change the color inside the preview window. Chop Shop will transfer the color inside the preview window to the 3D bike after you click "apply." You may then click "undo" to return to the previous color scheme. Chop Shop gives you numerous undos so you can easily return to a color that you liked. Clicking "default" will take you back to the bike's original color.

Chop Shop also allows you to paint the bike's frame. On the paint interface, click the tab marked "frame" follow the instructions listed above to paint the bike's frame. You can cycle back and forth from the body to the frame by clicking these tabs.

Paint Patterns
Under the color palette, you will find a series of paint patterns that we included in Chop Shop. To apply a pattern, simply click the one you want and watch it transfer to the bike. Use the arrows to scroll through all the options. When selecting a pattern, make sure the "body" tab is selected and NOT the "frame." You cannot apply a pattern to the frame and nothing will happen when you click a pattern if the frame tab is selected.

Advanced Paint Features
To access the advanced features, click "Pro Paint Mixer" under the paint interface—a new window will pop up that will allow you to work with templates and import your own graphics for painting the gas tank and fenders.

Note that in advanced mode, you can paint the gas tank and fenders separately. Begin by selecting the part of the bike you wish to paint (gas tank, front fender, or rear fender). Next, use the drop down menu to select the type of texture you want to add to the bike. Options include using a single color, a gradient, or one of our pre-made templates.

[Note that after you select a color, you must click "apply" for the color to transfer to the bike model.]

If you select "gradient" from the drop down list, two boxes will appear next to the color palette—select a box and then select a color from the palette to alter the gradient. Make sure you remember to click apply.

If you select a template, such as flames, three boxes will appear next to the color palette—select a box and then select a color from the palette to alter each individual portion of the template. For instance, you can change the color of the flames, of the border around the flames, and of the paint that surrounds the flames.

To use your own graphics for painting the bike model(s), you must save the images that you wish to use in the "textures" directory inside the Virtual Cycles folder. You can find this directory by following this path: C:\Program Files\Virtual Cycles\User\Textures. Once placed in this folder, your graphic will appear in Chop Shop the next time you load the program. Note that graphics you import should be 256 pixels by 256 pixels in size for the gas tank or 352 pixels by 156 pixels for the fenders and should be one of these file types: jpg, tif, png, or tga. We will also post downloadable textures and templates on our website. Graphics that you save into the textures folder can be found in the scrolling menu inside Chop Shop—see the illustration below.

You may also access this scrolling menu inside the Pro Paint Mixer, if you are looking to paint the fenders with your custom graphics.

NOTES:
-Body paint is not calulated into the price of the bike and can be saved on the bike.
-You can only paint the frame a solid color. If you click a pattern and it will not transfer to the bike model, make sure that:

(1) The "body" tab is selected and not the "frame" tab.
(2) You clicked the "apply" button.
